The Hellflowers - Vámonos (official video)

“Vámonos”, the very first single off the upcoming 2nd full length album, by Los Angeles’ favorite Punk and Roll band, The Hellflowers. This single features San Diego’s legendary Tiki guitar player, Jason Lee of Jason Lee and the Riptides on lead guitar and Dave Klein formerly Agent Orange and recording engineer extraordinaire on keys. This track is a unique departure from their usual early punk stylings and shows The Hellflowers ability to not beholden to one genre. They wanted to create a song that could be an intro to their shows and the album itself. A track to listen to on a road trip, a great addition to a soundtrack or just a fun song that anyone could sing, or chant along with. The video features all members and guest musicians performing and chanting “Vámonos” set in Licorice Pizza pressing plant in Los Angeles. “After we decided we wanted it to be a surf song, Matt thought of Jason Lee immediately. First pass, I was blown away! I love that we can create a variety of songs on one record. It has always been a goal of mine to not feel limited creatively.” The Single, “Vámonos”, will be released in conjunction with a music video directed and edited entirely by Hellflowers bassist, Matt Eskew.
