️China kicks off two days of military exercises near Taiwan Xinhua News reported the PLA began the drills early Thursday morning in the Taiwan Strait - north, south, and east of Taiwan including around the Kinmen, Matsu, Wuqiu, and Dongyin islands. The joint exercises include the army, navy, air force, and rocket forces, and are a “strong punishment for the separatist acts of ‘Taiwan independence’ forces,” Chinese military spokesman Colonel Li Xi said.
