Severe storms plowed through North Texas leaving 7 dead, many injured

One superstorm cell blew 135 miles across North Texas from Bowie in Montague County into Delta County over four hours during the night of May 26. The cell prompted multiple tornado warnings around 9 p.m. and churned out three confirmed tornados: two F2s with winds from 125 to 135 mph and an F3 with winds up to 165 mph.
