British Police Detain & Interrogate Investigative Journalist

MintPress contributor Kit Klarenberg was detained and interrogated by British counter-terror officers upon returning to England in May. He was held for hours. They took his electronic devices and coerced him into providing them with access codes. The arrest seems to have been over his groundbreaking reports exposing the plots of the British and U.S. intelligence communities. For instance, last October he reported on leaked British intelligence plans to blow up the Kerch bridge connecting Crimea to the rest of Russia. The bridge was eventually attacked. In this interview, Mnar Adley and Klarenberg discuss his detention, what it says about press freedom in the U.K., how it reflects on the prosecution of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, and much more.
