Join me for a visit to a blue-collar worker - Mr. Shtessel who works at the 47th Street Diamond District. Mr. Shtessel is a skilled diamond cutter who earns a living by refining rough stones. I got to know Mr. Shtessel as a tour guide in Hasidic Williamsburg. He is a very friendly man, and when we once talked about his work, I jumped on the opportunity to come visit him in his place of work. Little did I realize that Mr. Shtessel didn’t anticipate the camera! Because Mr. Shtessel has no email or internet access, I visited him in Williamsburg to show him the video.
