Game Recap: Penguins vs. Bruins () | Jake Guentzel, Tristan Jarry Fuel Pittsburgh to Victory

This one was intense. The Bruins were coming off a defeat at the hands of the Sabres, and the Penguins just bested the Devils one day ago. Both teams, however, wanted to secure the crucial two points from this contest. Pittsburgh did a great job defending the net-front and slot areas. Brian Dumoulin credited the forward group for their work, tying up sticks and getting in key spaces to help the defense corps. While there were some great chances for both teams throughout the first 40 minutes, the game remained scoreless. This was the first game this season where there were no goals or penalties through the first two periods, per NBC. Then, in the 3rd, Sidney Crosby found Jake Guentzel through heavy coverage, and Guentzel quickly released a perfectly-placed shot behind the Bruins’ netminder. Guentzel from Crosby and Dumoulin would stand as the lone goal in the contest. Tristan Jarry stopped all 30 of the Boston shots that he faced in the contest, helping Pittsburgh to their fourth-straight win. SUBSC
