Transformers Armada: The PS2 Game That Feels Like Playing With Toys

Transformers Armada: Prelude to Energon was released on PS2 in May 2004. I genuinely love Transformers. The Transformers Armada toyline is one of my highlights. The Transformers Armada PS2 game is one of a small number of genuinely good Transformers games and is the only video game which nails the toyetic sensibility of the Transformers. Especially the Minicons! No other Transformers video game recreates the toyetic sensation of playing with a transforming robot and traversing the realms of imagination quite like Transformers on the PS2. By being so closely connected to a real toyline and by delving into what makes transforming robot toys so cool, Transformers Armada stands alone as the best Transformers video game ever made. PCSX2 settings: Internal resolution: 6x Native (4k) Anisotropic Filtering & Mipmapping: Off CRC Hacks: Aggressive Blending Accuracy: None ✅ Enable HW Hacks Advanced Settings and Hacks: Skipdraw Range: 1 - 13 (This hack “skips“ drawing onscreen elements and also runs the game in a higher resolution. Keep the first number on 1, but experiment with increasing and decreasing the second number. Too high a number will start culling off the HUD elements etc, but too low and it will still render the wild bloom effects). 00:00 Intro 00:40 What are Transformers 01:30 Transformers Armada toys 02:32 Transformers PS2 game development 04:50 The Transformers game that plays like toys 08:12 Transforming and playing 10:28 The Minicons 12:22 Transforming your play experience 14:52 Closing off the Armada toyline 17:55 The best Transformers game 💙 Support the channel by joining Delta Squad: Follow me on social media: 🐦 😐 🌐
