Wild Atlantic Way Ancient Music of Ireland Procession of Celtic and Bronze Age Trumpets

Note: Choose best quality for your device - options go to 1080p HD A procession featuring the great Iron Age trumpets of Ireland with two Bronze Age horns out front leading the way. The trumpets second in line are reproductions of the Loughnashade trumpet from Co. Armagh circa 100 BC. These are followed by the Ard Brin trumpet from Co. Down, circa 200 BC. The cast Bronze Age horn leading is an end blown from Co. Offaly and followed by a side-blown horn from Co. Kerry. The location is Glassillaun Beach, Co. Galway, West of Ireland. Brother Louis O’Dwyer brought his drone over from France and very kindly did this footage for us. We had a perfect day of blue sky, fluffy clouds and rainbows. Friends met us there and provided total dedication to the project. It was a lot of fun. See for a selection of albums for download featuring all the ancient Irish instruments and more.
