Battle of Gaugamela | Alexander the Great - Massive Historical Cinematic Total War Battle

The Battle of Gaugamela is the most famous and most decisive for Alexander the Great, the Macedonian King, as he completely destroyed the Persian Empire in a mere span of around 5 years. All of it culminated in a battle near a village in Persia, Gaugamela where he faced King Darius III with 47,000 battle-hardened troops against a force that is triple his army size. The monstrous Persian Empire allowed Darius to amass this massive army, bringing a diversity of troops from all corners of the empire. As Alexander approaches the battlefield, he was camping on a hill near the open field of Gaugamela and rested his troops there. As his troops were preparing to advance in the morning, Alexander is said to have overslept and joined his troops at noon.
