Here is a video showing how to achieve a patina effect (Product Links Below) using pastes on an upcycled bottle. This application can be used on furniture, decor and metal. The pastes stick to the glass and resin castings without any primer.
It was fun layering and adding as I went until I was happy with the finish. You can more even after it has dried if you want to alter the finish.
Step by Step:
Apply mould castings to bottle using a strong glue. I used Super Glue and held in place with tape until it set.
The Decor Mould is called Antique Scrolls and I used clear resin in the moulds.
I used the three part Paste system by Finnabair called Art Extravagance Patina Effect Paste. It comes with three colors-Brass (smooth), Blue (semi textured) and Mint Green (full texture).
Start by painting the entire bottle with the Brass-allow to dry.
Then Paint on a layer of the Blue, allowing the brass to show through.
Then apply the Mint Green in the areas you want to highlight. Use a water
