Dog fighting may have been outlawed in most parts of the world, but in the north of Iraq it’s flourishing. Every week, large crowds gather to watch the country’s top canine gladiators. On Facebook, the fights are streamed across the region and victorious dogs are traded for tens of thousands of dollars. VICE News follows one of the country’s top dog trainers as he prepares to take to the ring.
