Dream Guitars Performance - “Spindrift“ by Al Petteway

Al Petteway: “Spindrift is one of my most well-known tunes and one of my favorites to play. I hadn’t seen this Circa 00 for years. In that time, it has gained a legendary status among acoustic guitarists. It was recently returned to me by two of the most amazing fellows I’ve known from my years at The Swannanoa Gathering. This is one of their favorite tunes as well and was excerpted from a small private thank you concert I did for them featuring this wonderful instrument. This particular version of Spindrift is unique, as are almost all of my performances. Many of the ornaments I use in a piece like this are interchangeable with each other but I keep the basic melody and chord pattern the same. I love playing this tune and have never gotten tired of it. Thank you John Slobod for building this beauty and thanks to Stephen and Brandon for reuniting me with the guitar.
