Baby Opossum’s First Steps

We had an exciting first at Harmony: a baby opossum from Mama Opo’s pouch took his first stroll outside the pouch today! Listen for the “tsk“ noise - that’s him calling for his mama. (Can’t you just hear her saying, “Baby, I’m right here.“) We are still not 100% sure how many babies she has, but we could count six tiny tails today. In case you are wondering, we moved the entire crew from the crate in this video into a soft-sided enclosed pet playpen to make sure the babes don’t wander out of Mama’s reach.
