Celebrating Light: Chagall’s UN Window

United Nations - Meet art historian and designer Bella Meyer- the granddaughter of world famous artist Marc Chagall. In 1964, Chagall created a stained glass window for United Nations Headquarters in New York- intended as a memorial to the UN’s second Secretary-General, Dag Hammarskjöld. Since then, it has captured the imagination of the thousands of visitors who flock to the UN each year. Here, Bella tells the story of the window in her own words.
