If you look closely around the little alleyways and streets near the Dongdaemun Stadium, Korea’s largest shopping district, you can find an exotic neighborhood where signs in Cyrillic line the streets. Known as “Little Russia,” this community is mainly home to migrants from Central Asian nations, particularly Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Mongolia.
