AETHER (2.2 Extreme Demon Verified) by ZeroSR & Arclia | Geometry Dash

A few days ago, I was asked by Zero to verify this level and was shown a full preview of it. I’ve been telling myself that I shouldn’t take verification projects anymore due to school and other reasons, but I was NOT going to pass this one up after I saw it because it looked incredible. Aether is, seemingly, the first 2.2 non-platformer Extreme Demon to go “all out“ with a lot of the 2.2 features. I’ve been talking for a few weeks about how much I’ve been wanting to play an Extreme Demon that utilized a ton of 2.2 features and mechanics, so it was amazing to receive this verification opportunity. The level is extremely fun and satisfying once you’ve learned it, but that’s no easy task. As you’ll see at the end of the video, practically 75% of my attempts came solely from learning the level. Even though I’m not the fastest learner in the world, that should prove just how learny a level can be if it uses the 2.2 features like this. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing; just something I learned the hard way. The wave at 46% proves this the most. It is one of the wildest parts of any level I’ve ever played and it took up the bulk of my practice time until I got consistent with it. The difficulty of it comes from the fact that I’m simply not used to difficult gameplay doing what this wave does just yet, and it’s likely that not many others are as well. There are also 7 small coins throughout the level that reveal a User Coin at the end of the level (also making the last jump free). There are 3 in the first ship, 1 in the following cube, 2 in the wave, and 1 in the swing. Overall, these coins don’t add much difficulty compared to the main path. For example, the ship is slightly easier if you go for the coins, but the wave is a little bit harder. I have no idea how hard this is, but if I had to guess, I would estimate it to be slightly easier than Bloodbath.
