Houthi rebels threaten ’strong response’ after new US strike in response to Red Sea attacks

A FRESH airstrike has hit a Houthi rebel stronghold in Yemen on Saturday following rocket fire by the Iran-backed militia group. The Red Sea port city of Hodeida appears to have been targeted after the rebels threatened to lead a “strong and effective response“ to the second round of overnight US strikes. Early Saturday morning, the US targeted a radar site belonging to the Iran-backed militia in what they called “follow-up action“ on a “specific military“ site. Houthi media channels reported that Al-Dailami airbase in the rebel-held capital city of Sanaa was hit - but claimed the strike caused “no significant“ damage or casualties.
