Six dead after Indonesia post-election protests | DW News

Following Indonesia’s general election, at least six people have been killed in clashes in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta. Violence broke out between the police and opponents of re-elected President Joko Widodo, after the election commission confirmed Widodo’s victory in last month’s polls. The main opposition candidate said he believed there had been widespread cheating. More than two hundred people are reported injured. Police say they have made at least 20 arrests. Subscribe:
