During a recent NFL playoff game between the 49ers and Rams, California Governor Gavin Newsom went viral after appearing maskless in a photo with Magic Johnson. This is the second high-profile instance of Newsom flouting his own indoor mask mandate, the first coming earlier in the pandemic at the ultra-fancy French Laundry restaurant in Napa Valley.
