English Pronouns - The Indefinite Pronouns – English grammar
Indefinite pronouns do not name exactly the object, place, or idea to which they refer. We use indefinite pronouns, when we cannot name exactly the person, the object, the place or, for example, the amount of something.
Some indefinite pronouns refer to people, others only to the subjects:
I. Pronouns ending with - body, - one refer to people, and, in essence, they do not differ from each other:
Somebody, Anybody, Nobody, Everybody
Someone, Anyone, No one, Everyone
II. Pronouns ending in - thing refer only to objects.
Something, Anything, Nothing, Everything
