Native - My Mind (2001)

“Sora (宇宙)“, 2001. Native formed in 1999. Late that year, the group released its first mini-album, “I Sing for You“, an ambitious first move that visual bands rarely did at the time. Despite their ambition, the album had extremely poor sales in the visual underground, although the group pushed onward, releasing a few demos throughout 2000 and touring a bit throughout the year. In July of 2001, Native released their second mini-album “Sora (宇宙)“, which had far greater sales than “I Sing for You“, and helped develop the group a small, yet loyal following. In the summer of 2002, the group released its third mini-album “Kizuna (絆)“, which failed to even come close to matching the success of their previous album, with copies being extremely scarce as a result of its poor sales.
