Drawing on metal. How to make drawing on a 300 year old ax

Historical ax. This Cossack ax was found during excavation work on the territory of Ukraine. This ax belongs to the Cossack period in the history of Ukraine. The ax is forged from raw iron. This ax came to me after restoration work began on it. Unfortunately, I did not see it in its original form.
