Follow ► The inspiration behind this video: If Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse gets its ideal ending, Spider-Man 4’s story would be under a lot of pressure. The animated film has several threads left dangling from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. The movie’s main conflict, The Spot trying to kill Miles’ dad, could go a number of different ways. Miles is adamant about stopping that from happening, even with pretty much all multiverse Spider-Men against his decision, and his succeeding in saving his dad against all odds would be the ideal ending for the character’s journey over the three animated movies. In saving his dad from a canon event and not destroying the world, which should be impossible, Miles could also help another character’s arc. Miguel O’Hara believing in hope again would be a major character turn that only Miles being successful in his mission could provide. Another major feat of Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse’s ideal ending would be to see Miles befriend the Prowler variant of himself, helping him move away from the darkness. If Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse accomplishes all that, then Spider-Man 4 would have a hard time matching the animated film’s exploits, being seen as the less exciting of the two Spider-Man movies.
