Driver’s Eye View - Savannahlander - Part 5 - No Commentary – Mount Surprise to Almaden

#AUSTRALIA #SAVANNAHLANDER This video uses the video footage obtained from a camera mounted on the outside of the cab window. All sounds are the natural noises picked up by the camera with no commentary. The day started with an early bush breakfast at the Undara Experience before travelling by bus to the Savannahlander, Mount Surprise station where our train was already waiting. Our driver/guides loaded a mountain of suitcases into the rear cab of the train and checked all passengers were on board and ready for the day ahead. This video covers the whole three hour leg along the Etheridge branch between Mount Surprise and Almaden. Information about the Etheridge branch can be found by clicking on this link - Here is a little information about the train, mostly courtesy of Wikipedia - The service was introduced on 3 April 1995 by Queensland Rail to replace the Forsayth Mixed (marketed as the ’Last Great Train Ride’).
