Paris Street Market (1920-1929)

Paris Street Market, France (Ham and Sausage Fair). Various shots of bric-a-brac, kitchen implements and utensils, crockery and so on, laid out on the ground or on stalls at a street market. People look at items on stalls. Stall holders assist customers and look on. A man grins at the camera while he has trouble finding his money. Good footage - quite atmospheric. A man on a food stall hands people small bits of bread to try, broken off from a large loaf he is holding. He looks like quite a good salesman. C/U of lots of long, woolly-looking sausages handing on a pole as hands pull them. Younger men on a ham or meat stall cut small pieces of meat from joints and hand them out to people, chatting all the while. Crowds gather round stalls and stands. A man in a smock stands smiling and chatting to people with several rows of sausages hanging up behind him on a stall. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
