A dual longplay between the original version and the Remix version of Virtua Fighter for Sega original Virtua Fighter for Sega Saturn was released in 1995 and was one of the console’s most successful games despite its issues. On the other hand, Virtua Fighter Remix, which was also released in the same year, is essentially an updated version of the original game. In this version, the characters received textures, and the game received slight structural and polygonal improvements. The gameplay of the original Virtua Fighter may seem a bit clumsy and slow compared to modern fighting games, but it was the precursor to 3D fighting games and served as the basis for several other 3D games like Tekken, Dead or Alive, Soulcalibur, and many others.
