Cuba oil fire: Aftermath and damage

The remains of an oil storage facility in Matanzas, Cuba were seen charred and smoking after an explosion and fire that engulfed a fourth reservoir at the supertanker base. Firefighters and specialists from Mexico and Venezuela helped to battle the blaze using boats, planes and helicopters. Residents carried on as usual, but are concerned about the possible long-term economic consequences and impact on the energy crisis. Citizens were asked to wear masks because of poisonous fumes. However, winds have so far spared the city from the thick smoke coming from the burning tanks. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Freedom over censorship, truth over narrative.
