The 16th “Spasskaya Bashnia” Military Music Festival dedicated to the defenders of the Fatherland has opened on Red Square in Moscow. Several thousand spectators gathered at the solemn event. The festival was opened by the Presidential Orchestra and the Company of the special guard of the Presidential Regiment. Foreign bands also participated, including the Military Band of the People’s Liberation Army of China. The festival will last until September 1 and will bring together not only Russian musicians, but also orchestras from South Africa, Venezuela, Thailand, Turkey, China, Guinea and Belarus.
