Listen here: She Said is a song about being a woman. The song unfolds from two perspectives – one being young, carefree and full of hope, but also feeling insecure and scared to make the wrong decisions. The other perspective is delivered from an older narrator, that has lived life – singing to her younger self, wanting to give advice, but not wanting to interfere, because she knows that life has to be lived and experienced, good or bad, wild and mundane. The track is a celebration of all women and a reminder to believe in oneself. Philip’s catchy vocals are supported by gritty drums, dynamic beats and sparse guitar. The She Said video is ultimately a mesmerizing reflection of three strong women creating together and it relays the message of the of the lyrics: “She said we need to learn, she said we better burn.” Composed and written by: Josephine Philip & Lasse Martinussen Vocals: Josephine Philip Production: Lasse Martinussen Midnight Confessions 2022 She Said She said, no one is allowed in there She said that love can’t be square She said that there is a time for now This is it, I’ll tell you how We danced in the bar and We drank in the streets Smoked in the car And we slept in the heat I feel the revolution and it’s rising from my gut It’s coming, it’s coming She said we need to learn She said we better burn And she said she said And she said she said And she said she said And she said she said She said why don’t you just come inside She said there’s no time to hide She said I do want to keep you near Love is strong, no need to fear All the time spend wandering On how to do it right It can be so lonely in the dark of the night Feel the revolution rising from my gut it’s coming, it’s coming She said we need to learn She said we better burn We danced in the bar and We drank in the streets smoked in the car And slept in the heat I feel the revolution rising from my gut It’s coming, it’s coming We danced in the bar and We drank in the streets Smoked in the car And we slept in the heat I feel the revolution rising from my gut It’s coming, it’s coming And she said she said And she said she said And she said she said And she said she said
