Michael Jackson is special guest of the theme park Liseberg in Sweden in 1988

Market Strategists at Liseberg knew Michael loved amusement parks and did everything to get him to visit Liseberg. Right up until the last moment, it was uncertain if Michael Jackson would show up. According to Pelle Johannisson Michael went on several rides but his favorite was the roller coaster Liseberg loop which he went on 5 times in a row. - He thought it was fun and it was beautiful weather that day. It was obvious that he enjoyed it. He remembers Michael as a A regular nice guy. Those who worked at Liseberg this day were met not by a diva, but a nice and happy guy who loved to ski loop and ride the roller coaster. Pelle remembers Michael ate nothing during the day, he drank only mineral water. Ända in i sista stund var det osäkert om Michael Jackson skulle dyka upp. Nöjesparken skulle öppna klockan tre på eftermiddagen och stjärnan anlände tillsammans med cirka hundra personer på förmiddagen. – Jag minns att det var en fredag. De kom hit i bussar. Det var ett fruktansvärt mediepådrag, han var ju på toppen av sin karriär då. Fotograferna låg på taken runtomkring Liseberg. Enligt Pelle Johannisson åkte stjärnan bland annat Lisebergsbanan, besökte Villa-upp-och-ner men hans favorit var berg och dalbanan lisebergsloopen. Den åkte han fem gånger i rad.
