Royal Air Force Exhibition (1914-1918)

Royal Air Force exhibition. Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Aviation exhibition by the Royal Air Force. Pan along area: people walking past air planes in a large field. Several airmen holding ropes which stretch upward & off screen; they are letting out the ropes; crowd surrounds. Interior; dark; People looking at pointed front of an air plane. Outside again; pan on crowd. CU man lets up more rope & lets go of end; he & others stand there as ends of ropes float up. Shot looking up at some sort of airship; floating up; also all the ropes hanging from it. Repeat shot Air plane taxis away; and takes off; turning rt. CU air plane; stationary; boys walk past; veterans; one pushing other in wheelchair. Dark interior once again; with crowd looking. RAF man sits on ground with headphones; crowd gathered around; another airman leans over & picks up telephone receiver. Communications. Airman turning propellor of plane; it moves forward.
