The Fall Of Bardia (1942)

M/S of a building with ’Capuzzo’ (looks like Capuzzi, as part of the letters have been destroyed by shells) written on the side of it. Several shots of Imperial troops leaving Fort Capuzzi in trucks and en route to Bardia, passing German cemetery. Troops searching buildings for any stragglers. Tanks advance across the desert to engage the enemy and start firing. Italian and German troops surrender; some are wounded. German General Schmidt agrees to terms of surrender with General De Villiers and is driven off in a battered car. More German prisoners; some were rounded up by a single Polish officer with a handgun. Liberated British prisoners dance together in the road to the music from a windup gramophone player.
