Back in my days as a New York jazz guitar guy around 2000-2001, I did a gig for about 30 people in a cafe on the corner of Bleecker & McDougal street with a singer and a jazz trio. The singer leading the gig said to me and the band “do you mind if my friend Norah sits in?“ “Sure no problem“ I after hearing her I thought wow, this little singer sings so I asked her the following: “Hey, would you be available if I have a gig and need a singer?“ “Absolutely!“ she replied and gave me her phone number. About a year later, “Don’t Know Why“ came out - and I was like “wait - that’s the same Norah? Holy S--t!!!!“ Life is crazy
