How to Make Modular Tile Sets for D&D | Overgrown Brick Roads

This video shows you the step by step processes on how you go about building a modular tile set for you tabletop RPG needs. These work as game boards / terrain for you to have your battles on, and add a great depth of realism and scenery to your gaming experience. This is an extremely inexpensive project, when breaking it down, each 3x3 inch tile piece comes out to be roughly $. You can make a TON of these at a time, and replace your boring battle mat quite quickly. Ever technique in this video is copyable with a knife in some way shape or form. You may need to go with 2x2 grids depending on the length of your knife blade, but you do not need the proxxon hot wire foam cutter like I use in order to be successful in your tile building. I used XPS foam, and paint/mod podge from walmart. I also used some woodland scenics coarse blended turf which you can pick up online or at hobby lobby. I also use some PVA Elmers school glue.
