Anthony Fauci has become a beloved figure among liberals for his stalwart opposition to Donald Trump and calm, scientific defense of whatever his Big Pharma bosses have wanted him to say throughout the course of the pandemic. But back in the early ‘90s Fauci wasn’t such a hero, and in fact was the subject of protests among gay activists for failing to promote inexpensive, life-saving treatments for HIV.
