Shaft of Steel - Body and Mind (Celtic Version) (Official Audio)

Shaft of Steel release a previously unheard ‘Celtic Version’ of Body and Mind. Originally intended for inclusion on a Japanese CD version of their 2020 debut album Steel Heartbeat, this acoustic version finally sees the light of day on all major streaming services and Bandcamp. “The album never got a domestic release in Japan in the end,“ explains guitarist and producer Alex Markham. “We built up a small but dedicated following in Japan after our first EP came out and we were really hoping that our album would get a big push over there. It never happened due to record label issues, but we were pleased to see so many new listeners from Japan on the streaming services. It’s an amazing country for music and we’d love to tour over there. “This version of Body and Mind uses Irish traditional instrumentation. I wanted to incorporate my love of Irish music into Shaft of Steel and this song gave us the perfect opportunity.
