1996 Volvo 850: Reading and clearing ECC codes without a scan tool

In this video, I discuss how to retrieve and clear codes from the Electronic Climate Control (ECC) module on 1996 and 1997 Volvo 850s, using an easy-to-build blink code ’reader’. The reader that I made is basically doing the same thing as the engine compartment diagnostic connectors found on 1995 and prior Volvo 850s.
