Nagano, JAPAN - 1998 Winter Games, Figure Skating, Ladies’ Free Skate - Michelle Kwan of the United States skated a beautiful and clean Free Skate to William Alwyn’s “Lyra Angelica.“ However, a majority of the judges felt that she did not skate with enough abandonment when compared to teammate Tara Lipinski’s skate. As such, she would placed 2nd in the Free Skate and end up winning the Silver Medal here.
