Mario Lanza (1921-1959) recorded the Italian song “La Mia Canzone“ (My Song) in Rome, Italy, in June 1959 for the album “Mario Lanza Sings Caruso Favorites,“ which was released posthumously in 1960. The conductor was Paul Baron (who can be seen in the photo at the 13-second mark). “La Mia Canzone“ was written in 1901, with music by Paolo Tosti (1846-1916) and lyrics by Francesco Cimmino (1862-1939).
