The Manchurian rail scene in 1999 on the eve of electrification. All main line freight traffic is in the charge of GE imports. Passenger expresses are led by DF-4’s and secondary passenger runs are in the hands of aging diesel-hydraulic locomotives. Some diesel-hydraulic shunters make an appearance.
