Mural by Grigor Khanjian at the Cafesjian Center for the Arts

This is a monumental mural by the well-known Armenian painter Grigor Khanjyan (1926-2000). Left unfinished at the time of Khanjyan’s death, the three scenes of the mural illustrate important events in Armenia’s history: the creation of the Armenian alphabet (painted in 1992-1994); the battle of Vardanank in AD 451 (1995-1998); and the rebirth of Armenia (1998-2000). The video is recorded on 25 August, 2013.
