Persona 3 - Altered battle theme to highest-intensity Tartarus theme

YouTube has decided to promote this for some reason, so here’s an explanation! I don’t hate the p3 battle theme but Tartarus feels weird and dreamlike to me and that track just really disrupts the mood. I dug around in the files for a while til I figured out how to replace the battle theme with the general Tartarus theme that you hear on the highest floors of Tartarus, so it kind of blends between the exploration track and the combat track. this channel’s Tales from the Tower playlist’s Persona 3 run was done entirely with this change and it really works!!! here’s what I did, for the curious: so I didn’t know what I was doing, but I downloaded this music mod: and I noticed inside it the structure was Data - BGM folders, inside which were a bunch of ADX files. each ADX file corresponds to a track, and you can see which is which here: all I did was delete out the existing tracks I wanted to replace with the Tartarus general theme, then duplicate the Tartarus theme and rename it after the files I’d deleted. Then I used Aemulus Package Manager to install the modified mod (as well as New Moon cause New Moon’s great!) and boom, done! if you want to use your own music, the format’s a little tough--I think you have to set a “loop point“ inside it so the game knows what to do when it ends, where it bounces back to. but replacing one track with another is trivial. I’m unsure what would happen if you tried installing the above mod deleting and NOT replacing most of its files, and leaving only the specific ones you wanted to change in--I suspect it would change only the tracks you wanted to change, but it’s possible it would silence all the deleted-and-not-replaced tracks! (the real pro way to do this is just to open the .iso with winrar, then modify the contents of the file as above, but I can’t figure out the correct way to modify directly--Aemulus is pretty good software in any case!)
