«Сормович» : “The Sormovich“ 1971/72 The “Sormovich“ was a gas-turbine hovercraft built in 1965 in Soviet Russia. The craft had a length of , a width of m and a height of . During tests the “Sormovich“ reached a speed of 120km and flew above the surface of the water on an air cushion of 208m2. The cruising range was about 600 km. The ship had a crew of 3 people and could carry up to 50 passengers and was put on an experimental passenger route between Gorky and Cheboksary, which was 274 km in length, along the Volga River.
