Titles read: “Old timers from Bondi, Australia. How time flies! And how these old timers don’t fly when the tearing of calico and sundry grunts and groans indicate someone’s let the clutch in.“ Various shots of men and women in old-fashioned costume getting into veteran cars on the sea front at Bondi Beach and starting off in a race. A man walks before them with a flag. The cars pick up speed and go past a small crowd of people. A comic sequence shows one of the drivers trying to start up his car, and being thrown up in the air in an explosion. He comes back down to earth looking dazed as we hear the sound of a cuckoo.
