This is the Lunar Meteorite portion of the exhibit at the Maine Mineral and Gem Museum!

The moon is such a whimsical subject of the night sky for as long as humans and animal such as coral, fish, wolves and many other species have lived in its presents. The moon is in a symbiotic relationship with Earth. It controls the tides, stabilizes Earths axis lending to our stable climate, and directly impacts the spawning periods of many creatures from the sea for example, and much more. Without the moon life would be harsh or perhaps impossible on Earth. The Maine Mineral and Gem Museum has the best lunar meteorite collection in the world!
