That boy Luigi has got the blues. He’s sick of this Super Mario World and the reams of abuse he gets from his bro, Mario (I mean, come on, why not the Luigi Bros?!?), Princess Peach, Toad, and even the creature he literally rides on, Yoshi. And let’s not forget how ridiculed he is while he walks around Luigi’s Mansion. So, to get his frustrations out in the open, the green half of the Super Mario Bros composed a Queen-esque rock ballad for the ages called Luigi’s Lament. And then he followed up that little ditty with a banger inspired by 1970s rock n’ roll called Luigi’s Lament 2: Luigi’s Revenge. This ain’t no Mario song nonsense: this is Luigi song greatness! While the first track is very much Mario vs Luigi, the second song is more Mario AND Luigi: the bros will always come together if they want to take down Bowser. It’s just how things go.
