Integrate Metahuman with ALS (Advanced Locomotion System) Unreal Engine 4
*SEE BELOW IN THE DESCRIPTION FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING A MISTAKE I MADE IN THE VIDEO*
*At 00:42 I mean to say you want your animation starter pack, since that is what has the UE4 mannequin.
*At 15:36 I make a mistake with the naming which caused my character to have a tapping foot. As long as you don’t make the same error I do with the naming your ik should work with no tapping.
The naming for the two ik VB bones is actually backwards, it should be the following:
right click root --- add virtual bone -- foot_l --- rename virtual bone to foot_target_l (do the same for the other foot)
right click root --- add virtual bone -- foot_r --- rename virtual bone to foot_target_r
I apologize for any confusion I might have caused, I do not know how I managed to do the two last virtual bones backwards.
*At around 39:52 you shouldn’t have to reset the knee control positions for the Metahuman. But it does show you how to do it incase you ever need to make adjustments t
