US imposes more sanctions over Nord Stream 2

The US State Department is back at attacking Nord Stream 2, issuing a fresh round of sanctions against two Russian ship operators doing work on the pipeline. The sanctions come as the outgoing German chancellor paid a visit to President Zelensky in Ukraine. Ukrainian officials are still seeking ‘guarantees’ for after completion of Nord Stream 2, as their country stands to lose a lot of money in land transit fees from the Russians.
