Now THIS is a Pencil - John Wick Build

I’ve always wanted to make a solid aluminum pencil just to see if it could be done. The answer is yes, an in real life it feels and looks beautiful. Even if it is a little hard to sharpen :-) To make the pencil I filed down 8mm aluminium tube with an internal hole of just over 3mm. After burning off the case from a 3mm cored artists pencil, I mixed some clear casting epoxy with the coarse and fine filings saved from the filling & sanding process. In the UK I used Easy Composites resin (not affiliated in any way) This was sucked up the aluminum tube and plugged off with the graphite pencil core in place. On the top, fine sanded aluminium mixed with epoxy acted as an end to the pencil, and as a fill reservoir.
