Is Israel Stealing Organs From Dead Palestinians?

Israelis have once again been accused of stealing organs from the bodies of dead Palestinians, this time in its latest war, on Gaza. Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor say,s it has documented Israeli soldiers confiscating dozens of dead bodies from northern Gaza’s al-Shifa and Indonesian hospitals, along with others in the south. Medical professionals have reportedly found vital organs missing. These include livers, kidneys, hearts, cochleas, and corneas. Euro-Med Monitor says this is evidence of potential organ theft. The group also claims that Israel exhumed and confiscated dead bodies from a mass grave that was dug more than 10 days ag,o in one of the courtyards of al-Shifa hospital. In recent years, reports have circulated that Israel is using Palestinian corpses unlawfully. Israeli doctor Meira Weiss, claimed that organs were taken from deceased Palestinians between 1996 and 2002 and used in medical research at Israeli universities. They were also transplanted into Israeli patients’ bodies. She made this claim in her 2014 book Over Their Dead Bodies. An Israeli television investigation that same year included confessions from high-ranking Israeli officials that skin was taken from the bodies of dead Palestinians and African workers. This was to treat Israelis, such as soldiers with burn injuries. According to a 2003 investigation by CNN, Israel is believed to be the biggest hub for the illegal global trade in human organs.
